Founded in 1992, Advanced Electrical Installations, Inc. (AEI) has grown steadily over more than three decades into one of the most well-respected commercial and industrial electrical contractors in the region. Now, after more than more than 1000 successful projects in the U.S. and abroad, AEI continues to build its reputation on foundational, personal, and productive relationships.

Matt Gass
President
Born into a family of electrical contractors, Matt developed a passion for the trade early in life, learning the craft alongside his father and building a strong foundation in the industry. In 1992, he founded AEI with a vision of delivering exceptional electrical work backed by skilled professionals, precision, and strong client relationships. That commitment to quality, professionalism, and collaboration has helped grow AEI into a respected name in commercial and industrial electrical contracting.

Vice President
Like many of the leaders at AEI, Buddy began his career in the field. Over the better part of two decades, he’s served in a variety of roles from front-line electrician to his current title of Vice President and contributed significantly to the growth and success of AEI. His expertise in international construction projects allows AEI to navigate diverse cultural and regulatory environments, expanding our operations globally and delivering exceptional results to clients around the world.

Project Manager
Tony Grove brings extensive experience and steady leadership to the AEI team. With more than two decades in the electrical industry, along with experience in space, aeronautics, and international construction projects, he has become a trusted and consistent force within the company. After fifteen years with AEI, Tony remains deeply committed to the company’s values and mission. Focused on growth, collaboration, and delivering strong project outcomes, his work ethic and dedication make him a valued part of the AEI team.
Makenzie Gass
Chief Financial Officer
With years of experience as a tax accountant and a degree in international business and management, Makenzie brings a strong mix of practical expertise and strategic insight to the AEI team. She plays an important role in optimizing financial processes and providing insights that support informed decision-making across the business. Her personal connection to the company strengthens her commitment to AEI’s growth and keeps her deeply invested in its long-term success and impact.

Office Manager
Like the rest of AEI’s leadership team, Sherri brings a strong commitment to teamwork and excellence to everything she does. Her experience across multiple industries allows her to adapt quickly and support the company through a wide range of challenges. Over nearly two decades with AEI, she has played an important role in its growth and success. She helps keep day-to-day operations running smoothly through strong administrative support, exceptional organization, attention to detail, and extensive human resources experience. Her ability to build strong relationships also helps foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
