MV Cables Supporting Launch Complex
LOCATION
Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL
CLIENT
U.S. Air Force
COMPLETED
2017
The work performed under this project at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station consisted of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to remove overhead open wire 13.2 kV circuits and replace underground electrical duct bank and 15kV cabling circuits. Additionally, the project involved removal and replacement of several 13.2kV pad mounted load break switches, replaced with new solid di-electric load break switches. AEI worked closely with Air Force power coordinators to ensure all transitions from overhead to underground were completed with minimum disturbances to the facilities.
